Happiness is a Warm Puppy

Folks Meet Roxy

Charles Schultz was right, as I found out a week ago.

Folks, meet Roxy, a purebred boxer puppy and the newest addition to the family unit which has expanded well beyond me and Shan since March. Alicia and her BF Austin brought her (meaning the puppy) home, but we all get to share in the cuteness.

And I’m getting to re-learn what it means to bond with – and deal with – an infant canine again. So far, it’s proving to be a most interesting and rewarding experience.

Dang! Isn’t she cute?

I had to snag these photos off Alicia’s FB page, because my camera is kaputsky.

Oh yeah, it goes without saying the cats are less than impressed, but they’re going to have to learn to deal with it. We shall see how it goes.

Anyway, just thought I’d introduce her to you all. I’ll keep you posted!

Heh!

  1. Tell me about it! I was contemplating those very feet this afternoon and thinking the same thing. She’s gonna be a fair size when she’s full grown, probably 50, 60 pounds. Thereabouts.

    Eeek.

  2. Yes, he is. He’s handling the invasion of the puppy pooper with far more grace and aplomb than the psycho Siamese, who is a sweet kitty but batshit crazy. Puppy just wants to play with everything. Or chew on it.

So far neither tears nor blood has been shed. I’m staying on top of things.

  3. Thanks. The cats are adjusting. Buddy apparently was raised with a dog, so he’s been a huge fat ball of ‘eh, whatever’. Blue’s jury is still out. He’s been lurking and checking things out, doing the stealth approach thing and getting bolder and bolder all the time. Ninka sniffs while puppy snores, teasing her with Bugs Bunny-esque behaviour, sitting just outside of the range of her leash. It’s a hoot to watch.
